An operating model translates strategic intent into operational capabilities. It serves as a basis for execution and provides clear guidance for the business leadership team, line managers and operational teams. The objective of this research is to provide an operational model for the Centers for Productive Innovation and Technology Transfer - CITE of the Instituto Tecnológico de la Producción in order to improve the effectiveness of the CITE. Kotter's operational model and BCG's Operational Model (Boston Consulting Group) have been identified as references for the creation of a model of their own. In addition, an analysis of the gaps that need to be closed to achieve the maximum potential of the operating model was performed. It was concluded that the operating model designed was able to increase the results of the evaluation metrics of the CITE Textil Camélidos Cusco and the necessary points to optimize the operating model were established.
