Abstract

This study was carried out in the Macusani Production unit, Fundos Machacoyo, Cochatanca, of the Rural Company Alianza EPS, with the objective of informing in the supply chain, of artisan spinning in the Puno region; the evaluation of the average diameter of fiber (fineness) the comfort factor, index of curvature and fineness to the yarn, potential volume of colored fiber; The method used was descriptive and evaluative, conducted in a complete randomized design. The mean diameter was 25.1 µm, with a standard deviation of 6.4 µm, average wick length of 93.6 mm; females show a mean diameter of 24.64 µm, males 26.35 µm; the comfort factor 78.4%, for females and males, the highest value is for DLM alpacas of 88.0%, the lowest value is 6D with 65.2%. The highest comfort factor is for DLM with 88.0% and 4D with 87.2%, the lowest comfort values are 6D with 65.2% and 2D with 70.1%; the yarn fineness of 26.4 μm in female and male alpacas, the minimum value of 17.2 μm in BLL alpacas and the maximum value of 39.7 μm in DLM alpacas. It is concluded that there are variations in the mean fiber diameter and the textile characteristics of the Huacaya alpaca fiber, color by age and sex. The largest presentation are 30% brown alpacas, 24.6% Lfs, 30.4% Black and 14.7% gray.
